Gr 6-9 A wide range of positions in these industries is considered, from the obvious, such as professional actor and musician, to the less well known, such as puppeteer or instrument repairperson. A strength of these introductions is the supplementary information provided; the authors include varied and valuable sources such as addresses of photographers who will do professional head shots for aspiring actors, or studios that will make voice-over demo recordings. Teens will also find the addresses of professional associations and lists of Web sites, trade publications, and books. The writing style in both titles is chatty, creating the sense of being engaged in a personal conversation.
